Services

Meridian has the expertise and technology to manage the surveying and mapping requirements on major pipeline projects. We work closely with our clients and tailor the data collected to meet their individual needs.

Alongside our multidisciplinary expertise, we provide an integrated source of leading-edge data acquisition. We create digital mapping with appropriate layering of all facilities through GIS. Our GPS/GIS capability is a field support system that offers real-time solutions and helps keep projects moving, on time and on track.

We manage preliminary and detailed routing, construction staking, as-builts, legal survey of right of way, right-of-way mapping, facility inventory and alignment sheet generation throughout the project. A rigid set of quality control routines developed through years of project experience ensure all aspects are completed in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Capabilities

We have successfully undertaken thousands of kilometres of preliminary, construction and as-built surveys for large and small diameter gas and oil pipeline installations, managing projects for a client base that includes six of Canada's largest pipeline and utility companies.

Using palm-top computers, total-stations and GPS technologies, we are able to streamline the as-building of large diameter facilities providing thorough, flexible and efficient electronic records. Innovative hardware and software designs specific to pipeline surveying ensure our client's data has a strong level of reliability for immediate and future analysis.

On large and demanding pipeline projects, survey teams of up to 45 experienced technical and professional staff are dispatched to the site, delivering the high quality results our clients have come to expect.
